    If your marriage is over and you and your spouse have agreed on most of the details, you can probably proceed with a simple, “no fault” divorce . If you have been separated for more than one year, an uncontested, no-fault divorce could be an option. It’s time for you to step in and protect your loved one from medical neglect, exploitation and financial ruin. You might need to file for guardianship and or conservatorship of your loved one. If the judge decides that your loved one is no longer able to manage his or her affairs, the judge will appoint a guardian and or a conservator to manage the person’s financial and legal affairs. Connie Clay has years of lived experience as the legal guardian and conservator of her late mother. Connie understands the conflicting feelings and the stress of choosing to parent a parent.
